Our work is centered around selective harvesting. We remove only mature trees of the desired size and quality while leaving as many trees standing as possible. We believe that nearly 90 percent of a property’s timber value comes from about 10 percent of the trees, which is why we focus on harvesting only the largest, highest-quality timber. This approach minimizes impact, preserves the appearance of the land, and allows for a much sooner second harvest—while maximizing the landowner’s return.
